Warm space
Skelmanthorpe Community Centre is proud to be part of the Warm Welcome Campaign, offering a free, warm and welcoming space to anyone in our community.
The Warm Welcome campaign exists to ensure everyone has somewhere warm and friendly to go, provided through the power of local spaces made by and for the community. The vision is to create a friendlier society, built by local communities, so everyone can thrive and knows where to turn for warmth, welcome, friendship and support.
Whilst the Warm Space offer is generally available October - March, our volunteer-run Community Cafe will always offer a warm welcome to anyone wanting company and a space to relax. There is no obligation to purchase food or drink in our Community Cafe.
